Seems very fitting for what you've been playing this season, this morning especially is rockin

Yeah the plan for next season is for metal from 9-10 every show, with the rest of the show keeping up some of the same variety I've had all fall

Hell yeah

I love how metal has slowly enveloped multiple shows on the station

I couldn't read anything on the schedule picture, hoping a vector or better res version goes up soon.

The one I got off the Facebook page is pretty legible

For this album Voivod hired Rush producer Terry Brown and basically went full 80s prog rock and I kinda love it

So Jerry Reed is where Dixie Dregs got their sound!

Ya i heard the same parallels when that Jerry Reed came on. An inspiration for Steve Morse I would bet. That pedal steel player on that Jerry Reed tune wow. Search says it is someone named Paul Franklin. Hot

Check out Buddy Emmons for more out of the usual world pedal steel playing. Jazz meets steel. And for more of that stellar Tele etc electric guitar playing check out the late Danny Gatton

Love Buddy Emmons - played some of his stuff on the show earlier this season

Speedy West & Jimmy Bryant are alsso a great duo

And Roy Buchanan another great Telecaster player that left too soon.

Brent Mason is another favorite tele player of mine. More famous for being the main Nashville studio guy in the 90s (think Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, George Strait, Travis Tritt) but has some shredding solo stuff

88 Elmira St. is one of my fave albums ever. I love that Tele sound.

Car Wheels on a Gravel Road. Great tune. A great understated guitar player on this era of Lucinda named Gurf Morlix. And other great session players on this lp

Gatton has name sake hot rail Tele pickups that I really want, but they are real spendy.

Seems like I need to check out Gatton as well

You will love Gatton Nikhil. He just plays guitar like other people breathe.

I'm really digging this Ian Noe.

Another great Nashville player is Brad Davis. Electric and acoustic picking work is so good. I know of him mostly from bluegrass flatpicking via the Flatpicking magazine and their comp cds

Nutzo good too.

Speaking of that Telecaster twang sound, it lands in this song. lol

Dale Watson "The Truckin Sessions " a great lp for picking. And low low low vocals. Dale gets that old school truck driving sound down

And of course Reverend Horton Heat deserves a mention in rockabilly guitar picking as well

As a guitarist definitely a gateway artist for me for country music too

I love Townes so much, & sketchy w/covers, esp of this, but you know...I like it.
