Thanks for the brief context lesson during the mic break, and I would love for more of these kinds of analyses for some future shows, similarly to how a certain other DJ has special historical shows every now and then.

Black Metal has always been a genre that I respect and appreciate, but has such a strong acquired taste that also keeps so many people from getting into it. I absolutely do see it as one of the more raw or primal genres of music. I do however LOVE the crossover it has for other genres like Dungeonsynth or Blackgaze

Yes I agree with this, it`s definitely extreme metal, and I tend to avoid listening to it too frequently because of that as well-- but yes I also love its crossover with folk a lot, would recommend Panopticon actually for a little bit folky tune and maybe Skagos

I really like what I've heard of Panopticon so far, it's very solemn and introspective.

It honestly wasn't until I heard Trhä on PAX's show last year that I really started to understand and respect black metal, before that it was just too rough for me. I guess Trhä opened my third eye so to speak lolol
