Punch Brothers did some cool stuff (Chris Thiele virtuouso mandolinist project) . Back in the 1970s a very long named one off lp using all the names of the players Norman Blake / Tut Taylor / Sam Bush / Butch Robins / Vassar Clements / David Holland / Jethro Burns whew... a great bluegrass meets jazz etc . Anyone w long hair playing bluegrass in the 70s was thought to be progressive i guess... loaded word. John Harford and his famous Aereo-Plain lp and band (some of the above feat) ....
Brian D 9:50:21 AM
may not sound progressive now but it was then. Feet in both waters... many waters etc
