Plus I've been able to do a bit of hand sewing and I watched all 8 of the Harry Potter movies. lol

That sounds like a really good time off. Watching all the HP movies in a short time is like a vacation itself

almost all my fabric is in clear plastic drawer units. I have lots of stackable shoebox-sized boxes for various supplies. and 12" square project boxes for quilt blocks.

i love the square box for quilt blocks!

I just finished doing a fairly large fabric collage, so today is cleanup day and I'm thinking about my storage and where I'm gonna move things!

I think I enjoy organizing my fabric as much as I enjoying sewing with it!

My mother was a seamstress back in the day and we had an industrial level sewing machine in the extra bedroom because my dad made lots of money and bought it for my mom. It was so medieval. I am scarred for life with that image.

industrial embroidery machines are terrifying

we had a mangle in the fibers department that no one ever used, probably bc it was called "mangle"

Thanks for that in depth ride about how those industrial monsters work. My mom did have a wound and a deep scar thru her thump.You are spot on Stichin'! Dangerous was always my take away. Scared me, but the wood base it was built on was so beautiful. Yea, thanks, I don't hear this anywhere else.

My husband bought me an old treadle that someone had turned into a side table using a gorgeous wood top.

I am always on the lookout for old wood. My friend had a classical guitar made from a 300 year old joust from a German barn. Those old items are worth their weight. Like you said earlier, ones trash is another ones treasure.
