I was supposed to fill in for Grady last night, which obviously didn't happen. But I did put together next week's show instead. It's gonna be a barnburner. But you'll have to wait exactly 7 days to find out about that.

I read an interview once where John Reis (I think?) talked about how he strums his guitar like he was playing the drums. And it suddenly made the music of all his bands make so much more sense

I also heard that John Reis put out a record last year, which I need to track down

Group Doueh was the first band I heard doing that desert electric guitar African thing. About 15-20 years ago.. hooked. Great sounds. This is very different

Yeah, those first few Doueh albums are so good. I need to spend more time with this one. This track is definitely more on the Cheveu side of things

First i heard them i could hear the sand ha. Real scratchy trebly like coming from an old radio.

It's fun hearing them actually start to figure out all the level ups that Bruce Dickinson unlocked. This record feels like a huge leap over Number of the Beast
