I have a go to vegan latke recipe that you can trick out in many directions.

Basically it is 1/2 shredded, 1/2 food processed potatoes with various added items and then you fry some patties.

Do you put anything on them?

This year is baked/canned potatoes and G-d and our household having an understanding that neither of us can do fried foods right now without getting sick. Depressing but funny depressing, so we'll take it.

Saw "The Fabelmans" on Saturday, and with that & this today - I've heard aLOT of Hebrew/Yiddish in the past few days--- I gotta say; it's way WAY more fun than Latin

My mom would sometimes use yiddish expressions that I'm guessing her grandparents taught her. The one that sticks with me translates to "tomorrow, tomorrow, not today. That's what all the lazy people say!"

I do think of it sometimes when sitting on my duff....

My mom passed away a few years ago and I miss her throwing down some yiddish. More so my bubbie than mom. but sadly yiddish is kind of dying off with the folks who speak it

This duo includes at one member of Oneida and when I saw Oneida open for Yo La Tengo at some recent Hanukkah show or another I was delighted they did this song. Perhaps the happiest person in the Bowery Ballroom, even.
