Lizbot (host) 5:03:23 PM
hello hello. i am too cold.
Number 6 5:04:27 PM
Hi Lizbot, I hope your pipes are okay!
Ossy Hyouka 5:05:29 PM
Hope also to wear double or more layers of long high socks!
Lizbot (host) 5:05:32 PM
Hi Number 6!
Lizbot (host) 5:05:54 PM
@Number 6- I am VERY concerned about both my pipes AND my pet tropical birds!
Lizbot (host) 5:06:30 PM
Hi Ossy! I have very fuzzy socks on, which I love and save for cold winter days, PLUS fuzzy slippers
Lizbot (host) 5:06:53 PM
And I feel like I am freezing to death like Klaus begs to in this song
Ossy Hyouka 5:07:21 PM
Lol and also gloves!!
Number 6 5:07:37 PM
A heating pad might help, but they usually turn off after awhile.
Ossy Hyouka 5:07:42 PM
Or socks on hands, LOL
Lizbot (host) 5:10:52 PM
I'd use space heaters but the problem is space heaters always trip the breakers in my old house, and if THAT happened during my show, there would be NO show, just doom funk!
Lizbot (host) 5:11:32 PM
I have moved my birds to the warmest part of the house and I have little heating pads on their cages that they can perch next to
Shut Up Wesley 5:13:17 PM
Oh dear Ms Bot, so sorry to hear. Sending warm thoughts. Is there at least a warm amplifier you could warm your hands with?
Lizbot (host) 5:15:06 PM
Hi Wesley! Not much detectable heat coming from this set up, but a little. Neck is stiff! Too much shivering. Hope I don't get sick before this heater is fixed. My HVAC isn't even that old, but just past warranty, annoyingly. Ugh.
Shut Up Wesley 5:15:50 PM
Also think thoughts of Klaus Nomi’s warm linzer torte… 🥧
Lizbot (host) 5:17:14 PM
@Wesley - ha! or zip over to Sweden for warm lingonberry jam...I am thinking of baking something after the show just to warm up the kitchen a little
Number 6 5:17:47 PM
Uh Oh, Doom Funk!
Shut Up Wesley 5:17:48 PM
Anyone know who played 2nd guitar on Joni’s Urge For Going?
Lizbot (host) 5:17:55 PM
Wait, really?!
Lizbot (host) 5:18:30 PM
@Number 6 - Doom funk right now?? or the thought of it is panicking you?
Number 6 5:18:30 PM
Okay, back to normal.
Shut Up Wesley 5:18:35 PM
Yup. Sudden Meters invasion.
Shut Up Wesley 5:19:31 PM
Joni got to finish. 2x+Good back on track.
Lizbot (host) 5:20:45 PM
@Wesley/Number 6 - Phew! How long did the doom last??
Number 6 5:21:29 PM
Not too long.
Number 6 5:21:59 PM
Less than 30 sec. I think.
Ambrose Hughes 5:22:08 PM
Evenin' Lizbot! Sorry to hear 'bout yet heater woes 😱
Lizbot (host) 5:22:26 PM
Hello Ambrose! Thanks, ugh, Not a good way to kick off the winter!
Ambrose Hughes 5:23:20 PM
Wasn't it was you that was having this same problem a few weeks ago?
Lizbot (host) 5:23:56 PM
@Ambrose- no, t'wasn't me. I haven't had doom funk in a long time. DOn't remember the last time. I DID hear it on someone else's show last week though
Lizbot (host) 5:24:57 PM
@Ambrose - And when Paddy/Pangeao of The World's Fare subbed for me last Thursday, I listened and I remember there being one instance of Doom Funk interruption then...I hope this is not a new Thursday tradition!
Ambrose Hughes 5:25:00 PM
I should ad more "was" to that question eh?🙃
Ambrose Hughes 5:26:11 PM
@Lizbot, I meant with your heat!
Lizbot (host) 5:28:16 PM
@Ambrose - Oh, yes! It's been screwy and not heating enough for weeks, but now it's just fully broken. We've had repair guys out here 3 times this winter. Getting fed up! It got really bad starting on Tuesday. Heater just shuts off, won't turn on. It's some safety function. It can't handle heating anything anymore!
Number 6 5:29:31 PM
I've had heater problems and I was able to get a part on Ebay to fix it. I have an extra board just in case.
Number 6 5:31:46 PM
Sometimes it was beyond my skill set, and I had to call the repair man.
Shut Up Wesley 5:32:32 PM
Glad to report no teeth chattering yet on this break from Ms Bot. 😬
Lizbot (host) 5:33:05 PM
@Wesley - phew! Just my thick winter jacket sleeves rubbing together!
Lizbot (host) 5:35:09 PM
@Number 6 - This heater issue is definitely beyond my skill set...and seemingly also beyond the skill set of the repairmen we've had out here! We pay for a service from the company we got our HVAC system from so that it's an annual flat rate for regular maintenance and minor repairs, but this appears to be a much bigger repair that's gonna cost $$
Shut Up Wesley 5:35:59 PM
Suggestion: Cold Cold Cold from little feat? RIP Lowell George.
Ambrose Hughes 5:36:31 PM
@Lizbot, 3 repair guys!?! Sounds like they need repairing, that's ridiculous!
Number 6 5:37:28 PM
Sounds like a joke, how many repair guys does it take to fix a heater?
Lizbot (host) 5:40:41 PM
@Number 6- apparently, after 11 years in this house, our ductwork isn't sufficient
Number 6 5:41:40 PM
Gary Numan did "This House Is Cold" and several other songs about cold.
Gary 000M 5:42:08 PM
Was just looking at harmoniums on reverb🤣 Ty for playing nico
Ted 5:42:23 PM
Will we hear 'Cold Is Being' by Renaissance? Annie's Sellersville Christmas show is this Saturday!
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 5:43:06 PM
Lizbot (host) 5:46:11 PM
Hi Gary 000M - I love her, so no problem! I hope you find a good harmonium deal on there!
Andy Wing 5:46:23 PM
Something by Cold Cave maybe?
Lizbot (host) 5:47:43 PM
Hi Ted! Oh wow, I WISH I could go to that but I'm going to be in ANOTHER place she plays often - Glenside near Keswick Theatre - for a family holiday get-together at my MIL's house! Might play Renaissance later though!
Lizbot (host) 5:47:51 PM
Hi Addie!!
Lizbot (host) 5:48:06 PM
Hi Andy! Hrmmm, lemme look into it
Lizbot (host) 5:49:51 PM
@Addie - How are the temps in Vermont at the moment?
Lizbot (host) 5:50:09 PM
@Addie - I hope the snek is toasty & warm
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 5:54:43 PM
Hi Lizbot! Temps are chilly and we’re about to get a foot of snow starting tonight! Snakes are cozy and warm, as are we!
Lizbot (host) 5:56:08 PM
@Addie - Glad to hear all are well and warm! Is that going to be yr first snow of this winter?? We got a tiny bit of snow this morning, but turned to rain
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 6:04:58 PM
We had a little snow a few weeks ago but this is the first real good storm! I can’t wait. Well, I’m not super looking forward to driving to work in it but that’s why I have a Subie with snow tires!
Ted 6:05:22 PM
My last trip to Keswick was for the Jon Anderson/School of Rock show. Good venue. Don't forget 'Left Out In The Cold' by Sparks!
Ossy Hyouka 6:05:54 PM
It's a grueling to leave in the cold
Lizbot (host) 6:09:44 PM
@Addie - Ah, trusty Subaru station wagon, car of my childhood! (After our Matador station wagon died) Snow is gorgeous, not I'm not a fan of driving in it either
TAndy 6:11:24 PM
Hey hey Lizbot and friends
Lizbot (host) 6:11:39 PM
@Ted - Oh yes, that one HAD crossed my mind and might be played tonight. Renaissance request coming up soon-ish!
Lizbot (host) 6:11:53 PM
Hi TAndy!
Lizbot (host) 6:12:35 PM
@Ossy - Especially when it's DARK so much too, so no warmth from the sun, like today!
Lizbot (host) 6:18:04 PM
@Ted - There ya go, and now I can imagine I'm at the Christmas show
Ted 6:19:51 PM
Thanks for the shoutout! I don't want to take over the show but 'Ship Trapped In The Ice' by Andy Partridge is a favorite of mine.
Lizbot (host) 6:24:34 PM
@Ted - No problem, I love Annie! I'll see what I can do!
GueloLove 6:25:49 PM
Lizbot (host) 6:26:04 PM
Hi GueloLove - Thank you!
Ossy Hyouka 6:27:53 PM
Ikr? It's so much Zelda music energy, like in icy regions
Ted 6:29:51 PM
I feel a connection - our upstairs heat went out last week. Simple replacement of valve motor and all was well.
Lizbot (host) 6:29:59 PM
@Ossy - haha, yes! or the ice levels of King's Quest V, which I played a lot on my computer as a kid
Lizbot (host) 6:30:13 PM
@Ted - I'm glad that was a simple fix!
Rob from Maryland 🦀 🇺🇦 🌻 🇮🇷 6:39:46 PM
Hello everyone
Rob from Maryland 🦀 🇺🇦 🌻 🇮🇷 6:40:08 PM
@Lizbot, bummer about your heater
Lizbot (host) 6:40:25 PM
@Ted - I don't mind, keep the requests coming! I want to play that Andy Partridge track but I don't have Fuzzy Warbles Vol 2 and it's apparently not available for digital download :( I'ma get a physical copy of all the Fuzzy Warbles Vol.1-6 for future shows
Lizbot (host) 6:40:43 PM
Hello Rob! Yeah, not great! How's it down there in the Land of Mary?
Lizbot (host) 6:41:55 PM
@Rob - Too dark and rainy here in Philly today. Sun never came out. Good napping weather!
Lizbot (host) 6:42:15 PM
I will be honoring this darkness with a WINTER SOLSTICE THEME NEXT THURSDAY!
Lizbot (host) 6:42:45 PM
(I don't know why I'm yelling in CapsLock...maybe to thaw my frozen brain)
Lizbot (host) 6:43:32 PM
and here we have the crux of today's theme, courtesy of Yaz
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 6:44:38 PM
Oh my gosh Solstice theme?? I’ll be sending a link to the show to all my pagan peeps!
Lizbot (host) 6:44:58 PM
@Addie - Nice! Please do!
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 6:48:38 PM
I’m always spreading the good word about wprb!
Ted 6:49:21 PM
I can't win 'em all. I'd suggest Jane Siberry's 'Hockey' but it has a dirty word.
Lizbot (host) 6:51:26 PM
@Addie - I am forever grateful! Spreading good tidings of good broadcasts!
Number 6 6:51:57 PM
@ Ted- That would be good after 10 PM.
Lizbot (host) 6:52:04 PM
@Rob In Maryland - Don't know if you caught the Maryland content of the track two tracks prior to Nico
Lizbot (host) 6:52:50 PM
@Ted - I could play it if I had time to edit it in logic, but that would have to have happened before the show! Would be good, though
Rob from Maryland 🦀 🇺🇦 🌻 🇮🇷 6:54:15 PM
@Lizbot, I missed the Maryland content. It was in "I'm Harriet"?
Rob from Maryland 🦀 🇺🇦 🌻 🇮🇷 6:55:06 PM
@Lizbot, the sun never came out here either. I would have taken a nap but I got a massage instead
Lizbot (host) 6:55:41 PM
@Rob - That's an acceptable substitute. I need one from the stiff neck I've got from shivering so much!
Lizbot (host) 6:56:48 PM
@Rob - Re: Maryland content - Yes, in the Harriet song
Ted 6:57:34 PM
I once downloaded a clean version of Hockey from Jane's website!
Lizbot (host) 6:58:29 PM
@Ted - Good to know for future reference! Probably won't be able to do do during the show but I might try!
Rob from Maryland 🦀 🇺🇦 🌻 🇮🇷 7:03:59 PM
@Lizbot, Thanks! I have the van der Broeke song queued up for right when you show is over.
Ted 7:04:12 PM
That file is long gone from Jane's website. Sorry.
Lizbot (host) 7:04:44 PM
@Ted - oh dang. Well I'll just have to edit it myself for a future winter show!
Lizbot (host) 7:05:02 PM
@Rob- Nice! It's short but lovely
Ossy Hyouka 7:22:51 PM
Lizbot for an hour earlier - I adore Sierra games like Kings Quest, played the first one, years back. Also LOVE Police and Space Quest series!
Ossy Hyouka 7:23:49 PM
I heard there's a Beauty and The Beast stage play tonight on 6abc starring rnb singer H.E.R as Belle
Lizbot (host) 7:31:34 PM
@Ossy - Oh crazy! I wasn't sure if they were doing that again this year
Lizbot (host) 7:31:55 PM
@Ossy - Did you see A Christmas Story live? They pulled it off
Lizbot (host) 7:34:03 PM
@Ossy - Long Live Roberta Williams! I thought she was so cool as a kid, the only female game designer I knew of! King's Quest V was my favorite. I especially loved the ice levels. There was a bug where if you walked off the ice cliff at a certain part, you could walk on the sky!
Ossy Hyouka 7:40:56 PM
Na, I haven't but last year I've seen Annie 2022 stage place on the same ABC channel. It was cute! I haven't reached to Kings Quest 5, but I can feel it's gonna be awesome. I love fire levels too like ice!
Mary Jones 7:41:32 PM
