Can I just say how much joy I got from seeing Cristiano Ronaldo storming off the field in tears on Saturday?
Moking In Rhythm 12:11:23 PM
Hehe that was funny..big baby
Moking In Rhythm 12:11:41 PM
Wahhh I make millions
Dan Ruccia (host) 12:13:43 PM
Such a tough life
Moking In Rhythm 12:16:01 PM
Not a big fan of Messi but his talent is undeniable
Dan Ruccia (host) 12:16:56 PM
Yeah, absolutely. His two assists in the last two games have been things of utter beauty
Moking In Rhythm 12:29:35 PM
The song's going to have me crying like Ronaldo
Dan Ruccia (host) 12:30:42 PM
There's a totally fantastic article about this album in Pitchfork this week: https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/frank-sinatra-watertown/
Dan Ruccia (host) 12:30:57 PM
Sounds like Frank was a wreck when he recorded this
Dan Ruccia (host) 12:31:30 PM
"As far as anyone can tell, the sun will rise tomorrow"

Richard from Rocky Hill 12:34:49 PM
Oh my ... I've never before heard Frank Sinatra's "Michael & Peter." How powerfully poignant, with Sinatra's measured yet intense delivery. The songwriters were Bob Gaudio (lyrics) and Jake Holmes (music).
Richard from Rocky Hill 12:39:56 PM
@ Dan Ruccia (host) According to sinatra.fandom.com/wiki, "Michael & Peter" was recorded in July 1969 for Frank's 1970 album Watertown. Not sure what was going on in his life then. But whether you love or detest Sinatra (who by all accounts could be a very difficult person), his ability to enter into a song and radiate its emotions to the listener was almost unmatched.
Moking In Rhythm 12:39:56 PM
Bob gaudio of the four seasons?
Dan Ruccia (host) 12:40:24 PM
Moking, the very same
Dan Ruccia (host) 12:40:59 PM
Richard, you should read the Pitchfork article I linked in the chat below. It gives a good sense of the larger context for it
Richard from Rocky Hill 12:41:50 PM
@ Moking In Rhythm Yes, the Bob Gaudio of Four Seasons vocal group fame.
Moking In Rhythm 12:42:47 PM
I remember the name from Jersey boys. And also from tracking down signed vinyl by the group
Jon Solomon 12:42:52 PM
Is Watertown Sinatra's On The Beach? I'll take my answer off-air.
Richard from Rocky Hill 12:42:55 PM
@ Dan Ruccia (host) Thanks, Dan, yes I certainly look forward to immersion in the Pitchfork article.
Dan Ruccia (host) 12:43:37 PM
Jon, absolutely
Jon Solomon 12:44:33 PM
I keep meaning to listen to Sinatra's The Future, which takes place IN SPACE.
Dan Ruccia (host) 12:45:50 PM
I wish I had one tenth of whatever energy Pino is putting into saying "Pero" at the start of every verse on this song. Also the chimes
Dan Ruccia (host) 12:48:37 PM
OMG this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhZ9lZ6-YCg
Dan Ruccia (host) 12:49:50 PM
The important question, Jon, does Frank Sinatra meet Sun Ra while he's in space?? If not, I'm not interested
Jon Solomon 12:51:08 PM
Two lonely people, they were strangers in the night sky.
Moking In Rhythm 12:54:17 PM
Haha Pino is big pimpin
Brian D 12:57:09 PM
Used to play the diner jukebox 45 b side "Cycles "by Frank Sinatra. A contemplative look at life, the seasons, getting canned from yer job etc... with a jaunty little piano accompaniment and nice melody. I think My Way was the a side. Every diner in the area seemed to have that single ha. Those personal, one in each booth jukeboxes
Brian D 12:59:43 PM
Neil Diamond's own version of his "Kentucky Woman" was fun to play as well. Used to hear the Rod Evans era Deep Purple version on the rock radio stations. Hearing Neil's was interesting.
Moking In Rhythm 1:00:38 PM
I believe Deep Purple is going to be at Parx Casino
Andy Wing 1:01:04 PM
Pino d'Angio must be Adriano Celentano's soul brother? Or maybe the Italian Gunther?
Dan Ruccia (host) 1:02:11 PM
A mention of Andriano Celentano means I must share this video. It's required by law: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VsmF9m_Nt8

Brian D 1:08:22 PM
Is it the Adriano as the teacher video?
Moking In Rhythm 1:08:35 PM
That trenchcoat fits Adriano a little too well
Dan Ruccia (host) 1:08:37 PM
Brian: Yup
Moking In Rhythm 1:08:52 PM
Hehe yes
Brian D 1:09:37 PM
Wife or girlfriend is the "ay ay ay" student who answers vocally
Andy Wing 1:10:36 PM
Somebody mashed up that Celentano track with Walk Like an Egyptian.
Brian D 1:10:42 PM
First heard that in the tv series Fargo w Ewan Mac as the twins
Brian D 1:11:38 PM
As i sometimes call it, Princetoncolinensinenciusol
Brian D 1:13:31 PM
One of the better mashups i heard/ saw is the Slayer / Edwin Starr . South of Heaven and War. Well executed
Dan Ruccia (host) 1:14:38 PM
I've got a pretty solid Xmas-ish Van Halen/Jose Feliciano mashup lined up for next week
Brian D 1:15:04 PM
Ooo great
Andy Wing 1:15:12 PM
Still looking for The Pink Room part 2.

Soccer on TV, Dan's show in the headphones. I'm all set.
Dan Ruccia (host) 2:01:56 PM
Let's do it!
Jon Solomon 2:20:17 PM
This is such a great idea, Dan.
Dan Ruccia (host) 2:22:32 PM
It was a ton of fun pulling all this together. There's a lot of fantastic music from Morocco
Jon Solomon 2:45:52 PM
Nearly one of the most incredible moments in sports history right there!
Dan Ruccia (host) 2:46:04 PM
If only that bicycle kick had gone in!
Dan Ruccia (host) 2:46:46 PM
Morocco are holding their own so far. This is a really even game
Dan Ruccia (host) 2:46:57 PM
(other than the 1-0 score line)
Jon Solomon 2:47:19 PM
I have to watch the second half on the DVR because of school pickup. No spoilers! That goes double for you Captain Ahab!
Dan Ruccia (host) 2:49:50 PM
Holy wow, I actually timed that correctly!
Brian D 2:54:45 PM
Great time Dan. Love the Moroccan set!
gboss 2:54:45 PM
Thanks for the show, Dan!
Dan Ruccia (host) 2:55:58 PM
Thanks, gboss and Brian! And thanks to everyone for tuning in!
