My wife’s aunt passed away a couple weeks back. No need to be sad. Great life lived, went out with family all around her. At the funeral I learned that in addition to being a great all-around person I liked a ton, she went to see Hawkwind with one of her kids in the 1970s. I was stunned and jealous in equal measure!

@Dave M. - I lurked on my share of prodigy.net bulletin boards and later, PhillyAmbientCollective(Man and Noise - PACMAN) board, chatting with ppl with mysterious names like 3Dcellophane (that's one I still remember to this day)

3Dcellophane is now a 2nd circuit justice and would really rather you forget the whole thing

I remember a girl on the prodigy boards by the name of madflower who used to write highly detailed dramas circa '91-'93 about miniaturized versions of the members of Blur and various other britpop bands who rode around in her pockets. I think this was the earliest/closest thing I experienced to fanfic in the early 90s. Years later I discovered my friend knew that girl IRL, grew up with her in Oyster Bay, and she showed me madflower's old zines she had traded with her

Mom was from South Jersey and Dad from West Philly which makes for lotsa long draawwn-out unnecessary dipthongs and triphthongs in them and myself and the omission of the first "r" in library. so an average afternoon might consist of going to the liberry and then spelunking in the abandoned asylum byberry
