Hmmm I recorded Monk onto blank tapes from other people's lps and cds first. Then I bought the soundtrack lp for that film Clint did Straight, No Chaser. Record that is. Back when it came out 88 or 89. Then bought that Coltrane and Monk unearthed cd in the 00s that was great! Carnegie Hall

Mom and dad had some great jazz lps now in my home. Miles Kind of Blue and Silent Way. Brubeck Time Out. They went to the big Randall's Island Jazz Fest in Aug 1959. All star who's who lineup

Eric did a holiday concert about 10 yrs ago at a church in NJ. Half Guaraldi / Charlie Brown . And the other half was some Freedom piece with a choir... by one of the greats can't remember

I got the Live at Winterland when it came out. Ryko had some good Jimi releases. Got a BBC collection of Jimi that happened to be on clear vinyl. Had no idea til I opened it

I got that Jimi Hendrix Concerts back when I first started buying cds Had the colorful brush strokes heavy painting on cover. Mix of live tracks from 68-70. Loved the Voodoo Chile from that

Was just reading just now about this and other shows how Jimi had great approach to diffuse the situation casually and with some humor. While Noel in contrast was a bit more stiff and angry in his approach to crowd control.

And Noel reacting to police presence right near or even on the stage

Jimi had some nice situational aikido. Peaceful resolution ✌️ and everybody's happy
