@Brian, your Pixies combo Cd story almost makes me wish I hadn't bought the two records on vinyl. Each one was fun enough by itself! Of course, I was years away from buying a CD player

The Dead get mistakenly portrayed as peace sign flashing, hugging, gentle etc... they had a weird warped sense if humor actually. They most likely threw the odd tv out of a hotel widow. And definitely indulged in other rock star excesses of the road

Oh yeah, there's a band called the Wombats. I'm a biologist of sorts so I love when I see bands named after animals (and microorganisms and plants)

I have never heard of Wormbo - ha! And somehow it comes back to the ear worm problem/delight, which on its creepy side then reminds me of Dune somehow.

Heard that Guaraldi / It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown deluxe reissue recently. Good stuff. And now there's a huge many cd set of A Charlie Brown Christmas deluxe. New recently discovered stuff in the vaults. Love Guaraldi

GI were so amazing. I was so lucky to get to see their reunion a while back - and they were STILL great. Charlie Brown!

Hooray, Jen! I haven't seen any DC punk bands in eons it seems. They were a very important, indeed crucial, part of my 20s though.

Comic Gallagher has left the building. Don't smash watermelons and just waste them. Blend w ice and rum and drink if one is going to disassemble a watermelon. Highly recommended.
