Old job many yrs ago (heard lots of terrible hold music calling companies all over so wprb funk is like paradise) we had a frequent long distance caller / customer from Finland. Gravelly voice. Used to talk on his dime (bag? ) to us for half hour or so at a clip. He'd list his lp collection to us over phone in alphabetical order. Character. He'd place orders sometimes as well..

Brian was just mentioning how our glitch tune band also have real jobs in the funk world. :)

The hold music for wprb Jerry is by a great Finnish session funk soul group Calypso Kings. . They back up singer Nicole Willis. She and Sharon Jones kinda had a coming up moment at same time. Calypso Kings are sort of a Finnish analogue to Dap Kings i guess

Summer of 1961 I had just turned 12....my parents dropped me and my sister off in Atlantic City for a long weekend (all expenses paid) without them....my sister was 21 at this was more of gift for her she was living in NYC and needed a break.... one night we decided to go up to the boardwalk and see what else was happening....we decided to see ashow. I don't know why she chose it since she was NOT a rock and roll fan but we bought tickets and got to witness and experience JERRY LEE LEWIS!

Son Mike Tarsia passed last year right around same time. Some friends and band mates got to meet and work w Mike . Important family. Sigma
