It's a special 3 hour bonanza of monster songs for the apex of the Halloween weekend!

I thought this would finally be the Halloween show where I play the novelty monster songs in the "Monster Mash" genre but again, it mostly is not. NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT! i love a good "Transylvanian" accent!

David Thomas and Wooden Birds "Monster Walks the Winter Lake" was, to me, soooo poignant. It reminded me of what happens in the original Frankenstein novel: After bringing his creation to life, Victor Frankenstein is so horrified and disgusted by it, he runs off to his room in the lab building and throws himself across the bed - leaving the creature alone. It comes pathetically looking for its creator/father ... who then runs away into the night, leaving the poor creation totally deserted.

I love both Sally Skull 7"s. I'm excited they have a ton more stuff on their band camp. I thought the two singles were all that was available.

It's author Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's perfect metaphor for our existential despair from birth. Indeed, she opens the book with lines from Milton: "Did I request thee, Maker, from my clay to mold me man? Did I solicit thee from darkness to promote me? --" So tragic is Frankenstein!

That particular gorgon from Hercules did turn into a human as a disguise into Hercules's school, so she won't scare the other students

It's old school, the TV series came out in 1999 and kinda like an interquel before Hercules becomes an adult

The TV series about Hercules's teenage years, while training to be a hero to regain his immortality and dealing with his evil uncle Hades's antics and other villains.

It even crossed over with Aladdin at some point, and yes Aladdin too had a TV series, taking place after Aladdin 2, but before the 3rd one

@Ossy Krista & CF the cartoons based on the movies during the 90s were wild hahaha literally some of the best in daytime cartoons

Indeed Tandy, Lion King had two TV series like Timon and Pumbaa and Lion Guard

I hear there coming with Moana, Zootopia and Princess and The Frog!!

I hope they're good! The biggest reason why those older spinoff cartoons on Disney were so good was because they were competing against the other networks and had to prove themselves after a dismal period before the "golden age". Now not so much since they're so huge, and have original programming that gets them by on TV, and they're pumping out movies at pace.

That explains so much and makes the 2000s and older so great!
