@ Bani (host) I really, really enjoyed my 1st hearing of Bani's Bops on Sunday, Oct. 9th @ 3:00 ... and I wondered why I hadn't discovered your outstanding show previously ... now I see from the 'PRB listings ... you were doing the Graveyard Shift at 3:00 a.m. until the Fall term started.

Yes I absolutely love autumn! And YES those days were very fun but now I am at an hour that is more feasible for folks lol

@ Bani (host) I totally enjoyed the Asian-Pop you played on your last Boni's Bops (BTS, Girls Generation, Joji, et al). Soooo... if you're taking requests today, after the South Asian set: "Heart Attack" by AOA. I think it's not only one of the greatest K-Pop songs, it might be one of the best pop songs overall, ever! I'm serious. (The music video where the girl and the boy meet cute by colliding at a co-ed lacrosse game is great fun, too.)

Besides the melody, lyrics and deliveries of the astonishingly talented AOA, I love how (like many other K-Pop classics) there's a rock solid marching beat underneath it all, throughout. But the timings of the lead vocal lyrics seem to shift into a slower half-time during verse 2 and almost a 3/4 waltz time in verse 3. Ya think?

WOW i'm so glad you noticed that slow down!!! It is such an interesting rhythm overall in the song- which is why kpop is such a fun genre because they always push the boundaries of what is catchy

@ Bani (host) Correction: The vocal in the "Heart Atttack" 2nd verse is done in a double time (not half). But the 3rd verse is definitely a half time or even a waltz time. Yes, you're right, these shifts do make so much of K-Pop so much exciting. Keeps you on your toes, as well as on your feet dancing!
