Yes! I love them. Also, I love that first remark, do you mind if I use it in my show?
TAndy 1:10:19 AM
Go ahead! Mutate it to however you want it to sound, my comments aren't under license :)
TAndy 1:30:52 AM
Love this Baaba Maal, sounds like summer. I miss summer
TAndy 1:31:12 AM
I mean Spring. Spring 2022 was normal summer and Summer 2022 was drought hell
Aidan (host) 1:43:10 AM
I know :( The drought was so bad here which was unprecedented. The large rain we had on Labor Day weekend and the last week were so needed!
TAndy 1:46:35 AM
Hopefully when the report comes out next week we'll be mostly out of it
Aidan (host) 2:21:35 AM
Hey all! This song's information is written in Greek, and as such, I am unable to enter in into the system. Apologies for the inconvenience!
TAndy 2:23:06 AM
Try it anyway >:) Loving this second hour so far by the way. The common traits in this music from different countries/regions proves a level of connectivity in the different cultures despite modern borders.
Aidan (host) 2:23:46 AM
I found it using Siri, so we are good :))
TAndy 2:25:48 AM
Thanks, Siri!
TAndy 2:47:17 AM
Ooh, intense >:)
Aidan (host) 2:50:00 AM
I know! I love music from the steppe. :)
TAndy 2:51:30 AM
What some may think as a clattering of pans and drums was actually some intricate patterned percussion. Best to not be in the 4x4 beat mindset when listening to more "traditional" music.
Aidan (host) 2:53:30 AM
Of course: it is always best to abscond from tradition notions of Western music technique when perusing traditional music.
TAndy 2:56:31 AM
Some just can't escape it 😔 But thank you for the music tonight!! Have a good few weeks off, looking forward to the pre-corded shows :)
Aidan (host) 3:00:04 AM
Thank you so much! I cannot wait to be back! :)
