definitely my favorite elm street sequel

i used to think 4 was the best but now i think 2 might be

some mic issues on my end so apologies for the lower mic quality

but we still jamming

i mean it sort of doesnt make cannonical sense since freddy can just come into the real world with no legit explanation but still, its pretty great, the claymation and stuff

2 is so a lot of fun and also v problematic haha

I loved the documentary that the lead from that did

yeah because the lead actor was gay but not openly but the writer knew and put a lot of gay subtext into the script

2 is BoNkErS even for a Freddy film, I love it

and it really fucked with Mark Patton (the lead) emotionally and his career for a bit

speaking of Gay Subtexts, i'd never seen Swayze's Road House until this month. Talk about men gazing adoringly at other men's bodies.

it's a great documentary and has a scene where they sort of talk it out between them

i never passed snowhead. I have it on my n64, its sitting in the next room from me, and i always get bored around snowhead, probably tried to finish it 3x

The Wizzrobe mid boss is irritatingly annoying, took me around 5-10 times to finally kill him and got the fire arrows. The stray fairies to collect slow me down.

I think It Follows is close to tie with my favorite horror ever, Cabin in the Woods. Im obviously more into the modern/meta types of horror, ala scream 1, etc.

as we enter the final quarter of this calendar year, it looks like Lone Wolf and Cub will be the best new (to me) films i saw. thanks to tarintino i backwards walked into these (inspiration for kill bill). not horror but cant recommend highly enough

The tire in "Rubber" was a pretty unstoppable villain. Not sure about "classic" though...

I saw the first purge movie and it was entertaining but I wouldn't say it was very good

if you're into home invasion movies then go for it

or if you just want to see ethan hawke in another horror movie (which is why I watched it lol)

I only watched on proxy few years back when my college had a Friday Halloween themed movie free night. The one that was pretty great was Election Year and that memorable psycho and sad "btch" Candy Girl Kimmy LOL

dude...Lone Wolf+Cub are the archetype of exactly everything you ever wanted from Samurai films. famously sampled by wu-tang. they're perfect. utterly. all 6 are amazing.

The other Purge, they showed after, was meh

my samurai movie knowledge is weak

I've seen Rashomon and Yojimbo and that's basically it

love ethan hawke just because of Gattica forever. but i never saw Reality Bites until this week, and man...that movie has some baad acting (and a painfully dumb plot).

I don't know of that, but seen some of The Last Samurai and little of the live action Rurouni Kenshin movie

oh man. if you even liked Kill Bill a little bit, Tarintino gave an interview where he explained that he saw Lone Wolf as a kid and was like "dude why would you ever want to make any movies other than this"

I did love Kill Bill

you immediately see how it influences everything he makes. the over the topness and the comic breaks amongst horrific violence

i think the movies for LW+C are famous because they're extremely loyal to the manga--like even shots in the movies mirror the panels of the art.

yeah I loved it! was a really fun watch

same director who did 10 Cloverfield Lane (also would recommend if you haven't seen)

i'll have to wait for DVD. Philly library gets almost eveyrthing but its new so will be a few months.
