Went to Joyous Lake club in Woodstock once for a drink or 2 but no major concert was happening. Friends o friend worked there for a bit in the latter years. Legendary venue for a while

I’ve long been a Freberg fan. I got the CD box set “The Stan Freberg Collection 1951-1998” with its VHS cassette of his TV commercials. I also bought second-hand LP’s like “Freberg Underground” and “The United States of America Volume One: The Early Years“, but I’ve never heard of “The Madison Ave. Werewolf” before.

I watched Frogs Sat. on Svengoolie. They're outside in the rain. Whatever happened, to the signal, I blame them

I picked up a couple Frebergs at prex, they ha a bunch for 1 buck a pop. I grabbed this one for the vampire piece

Obsessed too, with Muzak records, hence the 101 strings. I had a Living Guitars(similar idea) record out to spin as part of a Stones muddle w/Miss you, but ran out of time

Here’s what I discovered: Freberg’s fifteen-episode 1957 radio program was compiled in the 1958 two-disc Capitol LP “The Best of the Stan Freberg Shows”. Then the first disc of that double album was reissued in 1962 as “Face the Funnies”. The second disc of the double album was reissued in 1963 as “The Madison Ave. Werewolf”.
