Commie Francis (host) 7:06:54 AM

TAndy 7:07:20 AM
I'm singing the labuh day song as we speak
Mike Lupica 7:11:27 AM
I've been marking Laborwave's growth chart with a pencil and ruler on my garage door.
Rob from Maryland 🌻 🇺🇦 🦀 7:13:18 AM
Good morning everyone! Working holiday!
Mike Lupica 7:14:19 AM
Hey Rob! Yep, same as it ever is here.
Commie Francis (host) 7:14:41 AM

TAndy 7:15:04 AM
Good morning Rob and Mike.
Mike Lupica 7:16:13 AM

Howdy TAndy
jimbeaux 7:21:26 AM
Hail, Fearless Comrades!
TAndy 7:24:57 AM
Hey jimbeaux
Mike Lupica 7:25:13 AM
Question for the floor: Who's the worst boss you've ever had?
TAndy 7:26:55 AM
The one who snatched my walkie talkie and smashed it on a wall in front of a customer because I was pissed about having to push carts for a dollar over minimum during a sleet storm on thanksgiving and gave him an attitude while everyone else made $3-4 more than me and got to work inside 🥰
TAndy 7:27:32 AM
Got fired/quit a couple of months later and got unemployment until I submitted to the Bezos mines, best decision to get booted from retail
Mike Lupica 7:28:07 AM
Good one!
Mike Lupica 7:28:20 AM
Also, LOL at "Bezos Mines"
Mike Lupica 7:28:29 AM
Must remember that term
TAndy 7:29:19 AM
I call him Jeff Bozos all the time, glad I left his watchful eye too. Jobs suck now but we gotta eat
Rob from Maryland 🌻 🇺🇦 🦀 7:31:24 AM
I've been really lucky. My worst boss was merely a pompous *hole
Commie Francis (host) 7:33:56 AM
probably my boss at hmv who quizzed me about third eye blind in my interview, snapped his fingers at his girlfriend when he wanted her attention, and fired people for things like their grandpa dying or needing to have a religious holiday off
Commie Francis (host) 7:36:19 AM
can i give a shoutout to the practice of saying some statistics in the breakdown part
Commie Francis (host) 7:36:39 AM
especially when you cite your source
jimbeaux 7:37:11 AM
Had some horrid farm labor bosses, but then some amazing ones!
Mike Lupica 7:44:28 AM
I had some horrible supervisors when I was slinging packages for UPS / murdering myelf in nightschool (an era that included the '97 strike), but I think my worst ever boss was a draconian demon who ran the local movie theater I worked at during the summer after high school. The (glass enclosed) box office had no AC and she *insisted* that the door be kept shut for ... reasons ... thusly enclosing me in a coffin-sized greenhouse where the temp soared above 90 in no time.
jimbeaux 7:46:58 AM
Mike: "I'm meltttttttttiingggggggggg"
Mike Lupica 7:47:17 AM
After a few weeks of that, the (similarly mistreated) projectionist, popcorn counter sales guy, girl who tore ticket stubs, and I all organized and quit on the same Friday afternoon of a big opening movie night, essentially leaving her trying to do all of that herself. That was a good day.
TAndy 7:47:36 AM
I wonder how she's doing now 🤭
jimbeaux 7:48:30 AM
What was the movie? 9 to 5? 🤣
Mike Lupica 7:50:48 AM
Ha!
Mike Lupica 7:51:00 AM
Take This Job and Shove It
jimbeaux 7:51:36 AM
Yes, please play someone's version of that, Commie!
Mike Lupica 7:52:29 AM
Commie Paycheck
jimbeaux 7:53:33 AM
Ooooh Dead Kennedy's version!
Commie Francis (host) 7:54:07 AM

jimbeaux 7:54:33 AM
But oh this is only a two-hour cruise today
Rob from Maryland 🌻 🇺🇦 🦀 7:59:08 AM
If this is a cruise, sign me up for ten more of them
jimbeaux 8:02:57 AM
Commie could do a 22hr labor show no prob, Rob!
Mike Lupica 8:03:02 AM
Oooohhh, love this OZ X song!
Commie Francis (host) 8:03:36 AM
i forget exactly how many labor day shows i've done but it's probably at least 10 hours so far
jimbeaux 8:05:09 AM
Yesssssssssssssssssss

jimbeaux 8:06:29 AM

jimbeaux 8:07:59 AM
Cocaine sausage❄ 🌭
Commie Francis (host) 8:08:00 AM
i will say one of the worst bosses/work cultures i ever experienced was at a nonprofit!
Commie Francis (host) 8:08:22 AM
a lot of "you're doing good things for the world so you must accept these substandard conditions"
Jon Solomon 8:09:13 AM
LABO(U)RWAVE!!
Commie Francis (host) 8:10:02 AM

jimbeaux 8:25:30 AM

Commie Francis (host) 8:26:11 AM
