Hey Es! Nice to hear of your vacation in the wilds. I recall long long ago going to the Poconos with loads of family! Great times, indoors away from scary wildlife lol
Ossy Hyouka 3:10:03 PM

Esoterica (host) 3:10:54 PM

Did you know black bears have a variety of colors, like white, which looks like a polar bear https://www.google.com/search?q=kermode+bear&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwi1y6yWgL35AhXJhHIEHWDTAY0Q2-cCegQIABAC&oq=ker&gs_lcp=ChJtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1pbWcQARgAMgQIABBDMgQIABBDMgQIABBDMgQIABBDMgoIABCxAxCDARBDOgIIKToECAAQAzoICAAQsQMQgwE6CAgAEIAEELEDOgUIABCABDoHCAAQsQMQQzoLCAAQgAQQsQMQgwFQigtYhR5gnyhoAnAAeACAAWSIAYgDkgEDNC4xmAEAoAEBsAEDwAEB&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-img&ei=JQb0YvWkJMmJytMP4KaH6Ag&bih=751&biw=412&client

Esoterica (host) 3:28:15 PM
wow, ossy, i have never seen the kermode bear.
Esoterica (host) 3:29:18 PM
yes richard, i did see that story. she should have left the camp. must have been a rogue bear
Brian D 3:29:34 PM
Scott!
Esoterica (host) 3:30:00 PM
oh yeah what a voice, what a vibe
Ossy Hyouka 3:30:31 PM
I read that story Richard, where the woman refused to stay indoors after being attacked by the grizzly, the 1st time. Man, sleeping in the wilderness is never a safe thing, with predators on the move, especially in the dead of night, where they can see 20x better in the night. Why would you go settle at the same place, where you had an encounter with a large deadly animal?
Esoterica (host) 3:31:19 PM
agree, os.
Ossy Hyouka 3:31:46 PM
Some black bears are brown, which are mistaken for real brown bears and grizzlies
Ossy Hyouka 3:33:34 PM
In regards of that grizzly story, some incident of a hiker was backed away by a mountain lion, before he scared her off, eventually https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.clickorlando.com/news/local/2020/10/13/video-of-mountain-lion-stalking-hiker-for-6-minutes-goes-viral/%3foutputType=amp

Esoterica (host) 3:52:33 PM
i took my kids to see it, too, the johnny depp version. not as good as original imo
Brian D 3:55:57 PM
I couldn't watch it. They made Willy all wrong. Like a creepy cat in the hat or something. Gene made it his own. Loved the books as a kid. Read Charlie and... as well as The Great Glass Elevator so many times. I think I liked ... Elevator better
Esoterica (host) 3:57:52 PM
loved all the roald dahl books
Brian D 3:57:58 PM

Brian D 4:07:35 PM
Looking at cast of Silver Streak. Barely any left. Some of the actors were from 1910s. My grandparents age or older.
James Simmons 4:09:14 PM
Breaking the Waves is in my top ten movies. Emily Watson did not win the Oscar. The last scene in that movie just blew my mind and have never forgotten the impact it had on me.
Wes Steenson 4:13:16 PM
Taking this opportunity to re-recommend anything from the soundtrack of Julien Temple’s 1986 film Absolute Beginners, especially any of the David Bowie songs.
Brian D 4:13:50 PM
Morricone Youth is a great band name. As is Ciccone Youth. Wonder if they intended that as a nod to Sonic Youth as well as the obvious Morricone.
Wes Steenson 4:14:22 PM
🙀😻😽❤️
Jon Solomon 4:15:59 PM

I primarily know Howard Kaylan as Captain Cloud of the Rainbow Telegraph (in "Get Crazy").
Brian D 4:30:56 PM
Heard some cool low rumbling sounds in the score of the film Hell or High Water. Nick Cave and Warren Ellis did the music. Worked great in desert chase scenes of the southwest
Brian D 4:34:28 PM
