Can't say about that airing but it seems likely I would have heard that and other Cure songs on wprb at that time/ era. Or through my friends that liked the band. Bananarama, an 80s girl band, that's famous for songs like "Cruel Summer" and "I'm Your Venus". I don't know too too much of them, but will excite you of their 80sness, Dei!

That's right... Bananarama did a cover of Venus . Older song from late 60s. Shocking Blue.

Awesome to know, Venus was a cover of them. I did one self 80s musical party and was scrolling for songs and came across Bananarama's Venus remake. Cruel Summer was also in Karate Kid(1980s version) when Daniel was playing soccer and got in a fight with former rival, Johnny Lawrence

That's precisely where I'm at this last hour, all of my favorite bands when I was 18 or so. 18 year-old me would be frustrated with how little I play of them!

Everyone's got a fav out of the bands in this set. I listened to the Labradford album currently playing for the first time recently and it sent me down nostalgic spires. Wish I'd listened to it when I had the angst to match!

yeah, lots of these songs are very nostalgic for me but also keep giving in the present, hold up over time.

This Labradford record was a real game-changer for me when it came out.
