Oh. I'm on a Raymond Scott email list for some reason. I've corresponded with WFMU's Irwin Chusid, so I suspect he is responsible (He wrote the liner notes to the compilation "Reckless Nights & Turkish Twilights".)

@David that would be the reason, Irwin Chusid essentially handles The Raymond Scott musical estate.

Chusid also handles Sun Ra's music estate along with Arkestra arkivist Michael D Anderson, which is why a lot of old Sun Ra Akrestra records are getting reissued on Modern Harmonic

I had to contact Chusid a few years ago when I was trying to use a piece of Sun Ra music in a short film I made.

I love The Golden Age of Ballooning, Michael Ellis, Mr Neutron episodes of that final season. Staying up late Saturday night in the late 70s early 80s to watch Python reruns was so much fun. My 10-12 year old self did not really notice Cleese"s absence. But he definitely was a fave of the cast for me. Eric and Graham too.... well... all of the lads really. And Carol and Connie
