75. Saturday Night Live and Chevy Chase always w the Franco references. Yep. I lived in a dorm in Madrid for about 5 weeks. Summer of 1991. post grad program. Great times. I think there were classes too ha ha

good times, bri. i had no money, but ate like a queen.

I think SNL went on air just a few weeks before Franco died. Yah when that country was out of his grip it was a big reemergence. Big deal.

i wouldn't recommend rentife third class tickets haha, i could have splurged a little. tok three days to get to granada from Madrid (train going in reverse sometimes), soldiers sleepingin the luggage racks above.

Yah we went to the bars every night w our professor from Penn State that was teaching over there in the program. He got us young recent college grads all in to this program that was geared towards grade school teachers. But in 91 they had trouble getting enough people post Gulf War etc.

Bars gave you a nice plate of tapas with every round you bought. Free free food food! Great for the grad w not much money
