Brian D 3:28:41 PM
The screenwriter basically admitted it and then was threatening to hurt himself due to depression. Joe commented on how he was conflicted. But the lawyers handled it

Brian D 4:16:06 PM
That's right they trimmed No Quarter about 2- minutes for the 2007 (and same 2018) reissues. There is a very detailed site called The Garden Tapes that dissects how all the LZ live official releases edited & stitched the different lounge live performances.
Mike Lupica 4:16:29 PM
"Over the Hills and Far Away" is forever linked in my memory with some hippie dude in New Hope circa 1980-somethin'. He was sitting outside his crummy apartment in a fog of cig smoke playing the intro over and over on an acoustic guitar. This has the effect of attracting a number of lovely hippie maidens to his side and this made a huge impression on me, who appears in this scene as a Ramones-be-shirted dork with a bad case of acne.
Esoterica (host) 4:17:39 PM
haha love that story
-ᎷяMΔᏞᏨØИᎢΞNᎢ-💀 4:17:54 PM
Make that movie about your sexy youth, DJ MikeLupica
Bud Burroughs 4:18:12 PM
@Mike, I think every teenage boy who ever decided to play the guitar has a similar story.
Esoterica (host) 4:18:13 PM
whoa, cool, bri. i will listen to the longer versions
ROFFLESTOMP 4:19:08 PM
I just wanna buy my gramps an electric guitar!
Brian D 4:19:22 PM
The person that did that site compared the live releases to the actual concert tapes. Sometimes Page would take an intro, drum fill, Plant words from one night and "fly it in" as s band aid to another performance etc. Very common practice on live albums yes. But great to read all the details.
Esoterica (host) 4:19:22 PM
yes, roffle!
ROFFLESTOMP 4:20:06 PM
😉
Esoterica (host) 4:20:57 PM

Mr Mic 4:21:29 PM
Heh, I was kinda over Zep in 1980 too. Silly younger me.
Mike Lupica 4:22:53 PM
@Esoterica, yes, I absolutely OWNED THE SOCIAL SCENE at the cafeteria lunch table where I sat alone blasting the Circle Jerks on my walkman.
Esoterica (host) 4:23:49 PM
haha i can see it
