Hi TB! I've done research on the origin of the bicycle ID, and never found the origin...but I will definitely open it up and do more research! It's great, isn't it?

Readie: I remember the TV commercial for a Memorex recording of Ella's voice breaking a Champagne glass, then a tape recording doing the same thing...then once more asking: "Is it Ella or is it Memorex?"

I heard the longer edit of the bicycle up highway 1 story on wprb once about 15-20 years ago. It was slower / lower pitched so i think they sped his voice up for the station ID edit. No idea from where it comes. The guy seemed to be describing getting lured into a cult. Fun to hear that after hearing the ID a lot at that time.

And for the "et cetera" ... I hear so many say it as eck setra... ouch.

Everyone knows it's Latin for "and that guy that sang and played bass for Chicago Transit Authority ".

I knew a friendly peacock. They love eating apples. You couldn't touch him, but he would drag all his feathers across your leg when you sat down. He was funny

They have some funny howls the peacocks. One sounds like "LEMME OUT!" the other sounds like Bob Wills "WAH-HAHH!'. And one that only comes up rarely that goes "UH - oh!"
