Parameshwar Hegde (born 6 May 1956 in the Uttara Kannnada district of Karanataka) is a Hindustani classical vocalist. He received training in the Kirana, Gwalior and Patiala gharanas. He went to Dharwad to seek advanced training under Basavaraj Rajguru.

The Bombay Sisters, C. Saroja (b. 7 December 1936) and C. Lalitha (b. 26 August 1938), are a Carnatic music singing duo. from Trichur, Kerala. They had their musical training with H. A. S. Mani, Musiri Subramania Iyer and T. K. Govinda Rao. Since they were groomed in Carnatic Music in Mumbai, they were referred to as the "Bombay Sisters".

Nathumuni Brothers were a Carnatic brass band, well known for their Clarinet Kutcheries. The lead clarinet is by Lakshmipathi Naidu.

The Clarinet appeared on the scene at around the same time as the violin. It was brought to India during the reign of King Sarabhoji II of Tanjavur. It was used as an accompaniment for the chinna melam (the lesser ensemble) which accompanied the dance performances of the Devadasis.

While the harmonium is a common accompanying instrument in Hindustani vocal concerts, Kedar Naphade ís one of the few musicians who have performed harmonium as a solo instrument. Kedar Naphade was born in Mumbai in 1972. He received training from Tulsidas Borkar. He was also closely associated with and learnt from Padmavati Shaligram-Gokhale of the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana from 1989–1993.

He has an engineering degree from IIT Mumbai, and a Ph.D. from Lehigh University. He lives and teaches in this area.

Ramnad Krishnan (14 September 1918 - 29 January 1973) was a Carnatic vocalist. He learned music from Ramnad C. S. Sankarasivam and Smt. T. Brinda. This is his debut recording. His brother is mridangam player Ramnad Raghavan.

Farida Khanum was born in 1929 in Kolkata. Their whole family moved from Amritsar, in eastern Punjab (India) to Lahore (Pakistan) during Partition when she was 18 years old. She learnt Khayal, Thumri and Dadra from Ustad Ashiq Ali Khan of Patiala gharana.
