Heyyyyy Readie! I'm back, last week we had Clear skies at the Franklin Institute's 5th floor Stargazing....It went very well...

It had been a while since you were there, is that right?

The theme was "LGBTQ+ Ball", everyone was dressed to the high 9's we had a great turnout and perfect summer weather!

Last time was April 1st

Sounds like a blast, actually!! What was the music?

I was on the 5th floor the whole time operating a large Telescope, what went on downstairs, don't know exactly..

Oh wow, Soo the stars were the backdrop to the party? I'm trying to imagine the scene...

Five floors up, Large roof-deck with handrails, the city skyline, and participants all dressed up like Hollywood actors, you had to be there...and a Large telescope trained on double stars in the Big Dipper..

So you could look through the telescope anytime while you were there?

Yes, sometimes we had a line of up to 8 or so people..

Cool! I'm not surprised!

I had a great experience down the shore watching the strawberry full moon rise over the ocean a couple weeks ago...it was amazing!

Seems everybody saw that moon except me, in downtown Philly :)

Sorry you misssed it - I walked along the boardwalk watching as it rose. Nothing like the full moon reflecting in the tide....

You'll have to trust me on this one, but it's definitely worth seeing. Taras was a freedom fighter of sorts.

Sounds good. I don't usually watch films like that, action and war and fighting and such...but I can make an exception if it has an uplifting theme somewhere...

Back when it was filmed, it was not all unnecessary violence. Those older films were more about a message.

I think I saw one episode on the Tooob once...I think one of the Beat poets was on...

So happy we have 3 hours of RR again. The two hour block had me just wanting more.

@ richard lyons, et cetera ... Her one album for Columbia Records was titled "Malvina Reynolds Sings the Truth!" How could -- or can -- anyone argue with that? One standout song was her "God Bless the Grass" which Pete Seeger had already recorded as the title track of one of his now-classic LPs.
