It's never a good story. got out of bed one morning to take a wee and thought i was gonna step on a cat. rolled my ankle doing the awkward don't step on the cat maneuver. I will never forget the sound of the bones cracking as I went down. Two plates and 14 screws later, that ankle is the one part of my middle aged body that don't hurt.

...and it wasn't a cat but only my t-shirt on the floor.

@ Esoterica (host) Orville Peck has a remarkable voice. I'm surprised he isn't a bigger star than he is. Has anyone managed to solve the mystery of his identity, just who is beneath those flamboyant fringed masks?

orville peck is a good example of a singer letting his natural talking voice shine vs trying to sound like a singer should sound. not to mention the excellent production on that track.

I first heard “My Friend Jack” as performed by NJ’s The Insomniacs. You could probably make an anthology of freakbeat songs they’ve played live. Call it “Songs the Insomniacs Taught Us”.
