Still haven't put my AC in. Last Friday was hell though

it was!

and that was the day NJ transit workers were striking, and it took me literally 6 hours to get to NYC

Oh yikes that was a thing I forgot happened. I would have been super pissed

i was just melting in the heat for sure

i applaud you without AC, there have been some HOT days

My place is a basement so I'm mostly saved from the heat. The landlord was a moron and left the thermostat on heat though. Came home Sunday morning to a damn sweatbox

extremely silly, though i was in an office last week that had both the heat and AC on at once..colossal waste of energy

At work was a similar story. Heating units came on at night so I cut those things off lol

Easier to warm up than it is to get cool

We’ve made it two summers in VT so far with no AC. Might have to finally cave this year to keep my python from frying.

Still regret not buying a moped years ago. Even if I had no practical place to store it

drivers are def the worst for sure

drivers scary af when on a bike. I got hit a couple times when I lived in SF. Now I mostly stick to rail/canal trails or mountain bike trails.

TAndy, Roffle makes a good case for an E bike, sounds pretty fun

A guy I follow on YouTube drove from Trenton to Manhattan with a bike using that setup, only had to visit the gas station once. Loud as heck though

Addie, I had a Free Spirit a long time ago! I think it was technically a womens bike? But it still worked for me! But yeah, not the lightest or quickest bike out there

I rode on it, as a scenic train ride, but all you can see is trees on both sides about 5 feet from the tracks. Fun 'haunted' prison tour in town

it was so neat to see a coal train pulling out of that station, time travelling for sure

Once when I was younger riding with my dad I was going fast as hell down Cass in S. Trenton, an SUV pulled out of an alleyway and I slammed so hard into the wheel that my front wheel turned at 90° while my handlebars went straight. I was fine though, bike was fine, but everyone was horrified. Since then I realized that city riding is not worth it, but I was a kid so I didn't care.

Also on recommendation of Mr. Lupica, I've just put in an order for a mustard pie at a place in Hamilton. Will report my findings when I get it

It's not mind blowing but it's good. I got half sausage though and they use the big clumps of sausage so that's a huge plus. Will update with a sausage slice review when I get home

My partner makes grilled cheese with mayo instead of butter.

Plus for unskinned uneven chunks of salsicce (sausage). Had a great small pie at Talula's in Asbury Park last week called "Sausage Party". Fennel sausage chunks, chopped pickled hot red peppers, miso creamed kale dollops, homemade 4 hr sauce (already made no wait haha), homemade fresh mozz. Really good.

And their "Beekeepers Lament" is great too. Hot sopressatta, honey, fresh sauce & mozz as b4. So good

My high school friend put mustard on her grilled cheese. I saw a tweet of celebrity actress, Ryan Destiny, eating mustard and peanut butter sandwiches, hahaha, Addie.

Yes dijon must on grilled cheese very good. Thin layer. Dijon or spicy brown on a grilled ham and cheese great too. Cheddar or Swiss or Gouda. Cheese and mustard go very well together yes

On the upside my sister had some leftover tres leches cake so now I've got a slab of delicious cake for later as well.

I have heard of the mayo outside of grilled cheese method too. Sounds like a need for a dedicated skillet for that only. Might burn and get on there forever. I heard about putting a thin layer of mashed avocado inside the grilled cheese too which sounds great. Never tried. Makes it very creamy and tender, adds a little flavor. Salt & pepper the avo to get that savory flavor. Have to try it sometime.

I have had some great tres leches cake from Trenton area Mexican restaurants. Heavenly

Nah it's just pizza with mustard on it. I was expecting like a whole thin layer of mustard below the sauce that would kind of toast with the dough to give it a nice earthy flavor
