@ Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) and Joe -- Yes, the technique used on that "jazz yodeling" is, I think, identical to vocalizing I've heard by the wonderful Tibetan traditional/pop-jazz/world music fusion singer Yungchen Lhamo. Maybe Tibetan music was the inspiration?

Mentioned many times but Richard Thompson"s 4 live stream shows in 2020 really made the fall/ winter of that year a lot better . I'll have Richard in the living room anytime. Study his left hand on the big screen

I have a couple friends going to the Cropredy festival in England this August (Fairport, Richard Thompson, etc.). They have room for one more in their lodgings, and I'm really leaning toward going...

I would thing that would be very special, very rewarding experience!

Always wanted to go to Fairport's festival! They really do the big anniversaries well - band decades and lp anniversaries. Good thing as we lost some great members

Richard's live streams in 2020 were themed. 1 show of fan requests plus his then new ep Bloody Noses. Then 1 show of Fairport - album highlights, b-sides, rarities, more. Then a show dedicated to his solo lps . Then later on a holiday show that was a lot of fun ! Great stage patter, humor n stories every time he plays. He just gets better
