I saw the Troggs at the Village Underground (two days later, I think). Little Steven sprang from his seat to greet them as they entered the venue. I seemed to be the only person on the dancefloor that didn’t have a camera!

I also saw the Trashmen around the time you did, but at Maxwell’s. It’s interesting how it took nearly four decades for the group to finally play on the East Coast! In fact, the Trashwomen (who used a variation of their name and logo without their permission) played the East Coast years before they did!

@David that is wild about the Trashmen. It was very sweet to see these middle aged mid-western's genuinely excited to be traveling and playing music from their youth. It was a blast of pure earnest fun!

Arthur charted internationally but didn't do great. 105 on the Billboard. 2 of the 3 single never even charted. Victoria from the Top 40 in the UK but only charted in the 50s in the US.

A half century after the “Arthur” TV special was aborted, it was finally realized as a radio special. I only got to listen to it once before the BBC removed it from its archive. But now it’s been put on YouTube!
