a story for Jerry. yes my family worked ran gambling joints in AC... I read about it. they never told me... pre legal gambling. they were Jews. at my mom's funeral my aunt told me she met thelonius mink.. niña Simone and a few others.. she didn't think I would know them.

I saw Stevie Wonder twice within a few months. First time was August 30, 1972 at Madison Square Garden with Sha Na Na, Roberta Flack and John Lennon. The One to One benefit concert. Second time was March 23, 1973 at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby. I could not believe that I was able to walk up to the box office and buy a ticket to that concert. I was sure it would have been sold out. Stevie is a master. Hope he is enjoying his birthday. Thanks, Jerry!

I remember seeing someone do “Ain’t Got No Home” live back when it was a hit. I was a small child. The pianist put a frog mask on over his head when he got to the “I’m a lonely frog” verse. When he turned around and I saw him, I did a spit take.
