The first potato taco I had remains my fave: fried corn tortilla, well stuffed with easy-mashed potato, with small amounts of lettuce, diced tomato and shredded cheese. Easy mash means slightly chunky bits of potato seasoned with black pepper if I remember correctly.

Is La Morena still operational, @Colin? I used to love that place and haven't been there since 2019. The owner was looking to sell, and I was worried they would close down.

yes they are! I got the pollo nachos two weeks ago. I'm sort planning a taco lunch tomorrow. same quality as a few years ago.

Fave Mike Leigh characters Candace Marie and Keith from Nuts in May. Short film for tv mid 1970s. Keith is a way too detailed camper. Candace Marie tries to deal.

Ya 4tunately Davey, Nigel and I think Dee rejoined (RIP Dee Murray... what a bass player). Davey and Nigel still in the farewell tour. Davey is the music director. Well crafted gtr parts for a piano heavy band. And Nigel is so good on the drums.

Stills was a force. I really noticed great obited that guy for good reason.

I think Dee died early 1990s. Way too young

Mike Leigh's "Peterloo" somehow eluded my attention in 2018. My local libraries don't have it, so I don’t know if I’ll ever get to see it. It probably needs subtitles for Americans.

I recall in the 1980 Jim Morrison biography that the Doors’ most disastrous concert was in 1967 opening for Simon and Garfunkel. Simon wanted them on the bill because of their hit single, but the audience hated them—and Jim said he hated them right back.

I think I previously made this comment on the Sonic Bloom, but the music credits for “Medium Cool” are a complete mystery to me. Michael Bloomfield is credited for the music, but I never heard him in the movie at all! Meanwhile, the Mothers song is not credited, nor is Love’s “Emotions”--which is used in the beginning, middle and end of the movie!
