It's A Beatiful Day and others. Unreal.

Moby Grape play the song "Never Again" in the 1968 movie “The Sweet Ride”. It starred Tony Franciosa, Michael Sarrazin, Jacqueline Bisset and Bob Denver (attempting a cinematic acting career following the cancelation of “Gilligan’s Island”).

They didn’t put the song out on record though! It didn’t even appear on the movie’s soundtrack album. For years, Moby Grape collectors had to wait for times when the flick was broadcast, then lay their tape recorders in front of their cranked up TV sets! In 2007, Sundazed finally released it as a bonus track on their CD reissue of their first LP.

When I saw the Canadian group Mother’s Children at the 2011 Power Pop-A-Licious Festival in Asbury Lanes, I noticed the group usurped Moby Grape’s logo!

Skip Spence is credited for cowriting three Jefferson Airplane songs with Marty Balin when he was that group’s drummer. “Blue From an Airplane”, "Don’t Slip Away” and “It’s Alright [sic]”

Matthew Katz. Hated! You couldn't buy the first It's A Beautiful Day album because of him.

That sound paralyzed many a bluntmaster

Though “Wow” is a 33 ⅓ RPM LP, it features one scratchy 78 RPM track. Reissues in other formats took some of the fun out of that.
