That one performance (Fatoumata Diawara) went a long way to redress some of latest horrors of the world. Her music is powerful and healing. I can't put it into words, but everyone there knew it. Many of the audience were invited onstage by the end, to all dance together. Pure joy.

Her husband is guitarist Rez Abassi.

When Jerry G passed Maxell company put out a cool tribute advert in Rolling Stone etc. Had a couple "J-card" inserts from an XLII 90 min tape filled out with the sets from 07-09-1995 last show ever in Chicago.
