No idea, I only ever had it on PC. Last time I played was with the Ultra DLC but I understand there's a second version now too

Back when I was huge into skullstep drum & bass I'd plug some songs into it and it would get crazy intense

Steamdeck is a very solid option for me but it's so expensive, and all they really have are the bundles now lol

Ahh. If I can find a solid de-META crack for the Oculus Quest I'll probably go that route

I assume the others without base stations would just be like having a screen on your face without motion controls

@Andrew Pretty much, the controls rely on the base stations for calculating the positions

I wonder how much data FB's getting out of me while playing games through my computer rather than on the headset itself

I did some skulking around and oculess seems to be a massive compromise for the quest, only allowing ALVR for wireless VR. So my choices are either use the fancy but cheap headset with compromised software or spend 3x for a proper setup

I don't have physical access to my internet router either so it'd be truly wireless

ah, yeah Virtual Desktop has been the only streaming app I got working right on campus wifi, so that would be problematic for me too lol

I wonder if any other companies are gonna try to compete with facebook for cheap VR

Seems like their current strategy is to make VR cheap by subsidizing the headsets heavily and then somehow use our data in the mEtaVeRse

I wonder if you can help me out with this. I've always noticed since I was younger how Japanese electronic music, from this to J-core and their hard trance has such a specific sound I rarely ever hear replicated by artists from other countries.

The best way for me to describe this is like some kind of high fantasy high tech twinkly piano kind of thing, it's so hard to describe lol

I'll have to delve into this someday. I only ever heard one song by a German trance producer that had a similar sound, but those German producers in the 90s up to the mid 00s made the most top notch trance music
