It technically falls under FCC rules but the anime itself does creatively censor some of the stuff the manga just straight up plops on page

The films are not canon for the most part. The ones worth watching are: Film 6 for how dark it gets, and every film starting with and after Strong World.

Strong World and Film Z are dubiously uncanon but do involve characters that do exist in the canon universe. The next film will be about Shanks apparently so most likely it will have some level of canonicity
