Was lucky to see one of those Musicology shows in Philly around 2003. Maceo Parker and Candy Dulfer in the band among others. Morris Day and the Time opening up. Patti LaBelle guested on a track. Free Musicology CD for everyone that went in the gate. A great night in Philly.

Hi Christine! I finally saw the Northern Shrike on the 2nd, went back with my wife yesterday and didn't see it.

But she found two nice sparrows (Field & Am. Tree) and an adult Bald Eagle

And I saw a catbird on Saturday. They are not supposed to be here in January

@Rob, wow, that is surpising about the catbird. You don't usually see them in winter.

Yay for the bald eagle! That's always a thrill.

@Christine, yep! The person I was with who spotted it had found another one the day before in a different area!

Bald Eagles are a thrill. I'm looking at them extra carefullly now just in case the Steller's Sea Eagle in Maine (it's a northeast Asian species) starts wandering again

Oh, and there's another northeast Asian bird in/near Baltimore: an adult Slaty-backed Gull, which would be Maryland's first afaik. Don't know when I can go look for it though
