In 1984 I heard an amazing song on the radio. I pulled over to a phone booth and dialed the studio, asking who & what it was. The who was Cocteau Twins.

The what was unknown, it was a white label compilation. So I had to buy every Cocteau Twins record until I found the song

Fortunately I found it on the first Cocteau Twins record I bought. The song was Pearly Dewdrops Drop. It's still one of my favorites

Hey Andy! I sort of lost my momentum in the 90s. I listened to a lot of riot grrrl and then jungle/drum and bass....I know so little else from those years.

I had this song stuck in my head all day yesterday for some reason, classic Sinead.😍

It's so intense. I love this song in general. Dead Can Dance do a great version of it too

One of my fave programs from back then was Bassquake, great jungle mixes. I was blown away the first time I heard Walk This Land "Paradise"

Someday I need to dust off all the cassettes (!) I made of jungle radio shows.

I still love that crazy sound.

The album Loveless turned 30 yesterday

@Pethie I lost a decade (at least) to alcoholism, maybe more, the jury is still out. Riot Grrl might have saved you. Been sober now for 32 years and music is my salvation. what @ Andy said WPRB !! (Please dust off those cassettes transfer to digital.) Thank you for letting me share.
